All underwater photos were taken with Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 17-40L lens & Ewa-Marine U-BXP 100 housing. No tank was used to dive, just one deep breathhold ;) .

Ewa-Marine U-BXP 100 is not a good option if you want to take underwater pictures. First of all the air pressure at depth makes the camera buttons unusable and you need good manual skills and little patience to operate them. Also the housing has a valve to blow air inside which can be easily taken out & open and may cause leaks. This happened to me twice, thanks God the camera survived.

It was my dream. But when it came to planning the trip we realized that 3-weeks in Japan exceeds out budget. So we went to China ;) . It was a great experience – we spent over three weeks traveling around China with just small backpacks and no bulky luggage. Of course photo equipment took 2/3 of my backpack leaving just a small amount of space for clothing ;) . Believe it or not – we took only 3 t-shirts & similar amount of panties/socks per person for a 3-week trip. And it worked unbelievably well. He’re are some pictures taken during that trip.

It’s one of the most interesting events in Europe where for one weekend a beautiful medieval castle becomes a scene for dark independent stars and it’s courtyards become a “fashion show”. For couple of years it’s been called “Summer Carnival”. If you haven’t been there yet you definitely must come one day.
